Fertility Preservation

Fertility preservation is a great option for patients concerned about their future fertility. While it does not guarantee pregnancy, it does offer a plan to fall back on should natural conception be unsuccessful.

What is fertility preservation?

Fertility preservation is the cryopreservation (freezing) of human reproductive tissue to be used later for In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) therapies or intrauterine insemination (IUI). Using liquid nitrogen, human tissues such as semen, eggs, and embryos are frozen at temperatures exceeding 350 degrees below freezing. They are then stored in specially designed tanks until such time that the patient is ready to begin a family.
